Brace yourself: Huawei is bringing its groundbreaking heart failure risk assessment right to the Watch GT 6 Pro, expanding a feature that first appeared on the Watch Ultimate 2 in January. This popular health capability helps users gauge their risk of heart failure, now embedded in Huawei’s top-tier smartwatch lineup.
The Watch GT 6 Pro sits at the pinnacle of the series, boasting a premium build with sapphire glass and an aerospace-grade titanium alloy chassis. It sports a 1.47-inch AMOLED display with an impressive 3000 nits peak brightness, ensuring crisp visibility in bright outdoor lighting. A standout advantage is its long battery life, delivering up to two weeks under typical use and up to 21 days in power-saving mode.
Like the rest of the lineup, the GT 6 Pro runs HarmonyOS 6 out of the box, offering distinctive watch faces and a suite of health features. The latest software upgrade expands health insights by introducing additional metrics, enriching the user experience and the depth of health data.
Version 6.0.0.188 of HarmonyOS brings the new coronary heart failure risk assessment feature to the GT 6 series. To access it, users must join the coronary heart failure campaign via the Huawei Innovation Research app on their paired device. The feature analyzes vital health data collected across different times of day and night, and after about three to four days, users can view their heart failure risk assessment results. Note that, at present, this capability is limited to the model sold in China.
In addition to the cardiovascular assessment, the update includes adjustments to silent message notifications and smart reminders. The remote camera control function is being extended to support more Android devices. The GT 6 Pro also receives improvements in swimming distance accuracy for open-water sessions, alongside general gains in display clarity and system stability following the rollout.
